Walking with a License!
Now that i got a license i conc more on how to drive and the road ,directions,indicator,wiper and what not.Slowly doing all this you start connecting it with everything you do.I remember when i started typing i used to think of typing whenever i used to talk and i did for a long time, i do it even now sometimes.
Anyway,here i am talking about driving, so after getting my license and trying to be careful on the roads, now when i walk in teh heavily crowded roads of Manhattan i still think like when i am driving.For instance if I am between 2 people and i wanna go to the other side because the person in front of me is slow, the only thing i do is look back and see if its safe to go in, definitely i dont have the indicator but if i had i would ahve switched it on! and in the morning the people on the roads walk bumper to bumper or should i say knee to knee! :)
You cannot even honk for someone walking slow. Its worse on a heavy rainy day as today, We dont ahev wipers :) and we dont have to worry about defrosting the windshield but definitly we have to worry about carrying an umbrella in the wind. Atleast, You are much safer int he car, u wont get drenched.:)
But cars have to follow the signals and oneways but we dont have to especially in Manhattan, the pedestrian is the “king of the road”:). And incase walking too fast, you hit on someone, you dont have to worry about your insurance,repair,license,points and tickets. You can simply say sorry and walk ahead.
Yet to decide which one is better, Should I walk or drive? Have fun.
