About Me

Vanakkam & Hello _/\_, I am Sudharshan, Welcome to our small place on the Internet. I am so glad you stopped by to see us!

I work as Director of Strategic Planning for IT at a global insurance company and I enjoy working with the challenges my job brings everyday.

I am originally from Coimbatore, Tamilnadu, India and living at present in Bridgewater, New Jersey. I came here to US in April 1999 to work for Covansys(CSC). I hope to return back to India some day! [You can view my public profile in LinkedIn for details about my professional life].

I also have an MBA in Marketing, Media & Entertainment from the NewYork University’s Stern School of Business. As you might have guessed, convergence of Media, Entertainment and Social Entrepreneurship is what I love, want to do. I am specifically interested in education and entertainment for children. You can see the flavors of that desire throughout my blog here.

I am particularly interested in education and social changes in India and contribute articles once in a while to ThinkChangeIndia, a site dedicated to tracking social enterprise in India.

I am happily married to charming Harini (her discontinued blog here and her new digiart blog here), from chennai. She is originally from kanpur. Everything around me seem to have changed ever since our marriage. We got married in kumbakonam on Nov 6th, 2003. She is very bubbling personality and we are having a good time in everything we do.

We were blessed with our son Rishi, on June 2nd, 2008. Its amazing to watch and hold him everyday and time passes by in a jif.

I really enjoy the time I spend online, which initiated the drive in me to come up with this site. I wish I do more with this web site, but then I am not really a HTML, Web Design guy. So I ended up using WordPress Personal Publishing System. So far it has been impressive and I recommend to everyone. I will do my level best to keep things neat and simple. If you could think of something, which would make this place look better and good, please drop me a line.

The site as you see it today is its third or fourth incarnation, so if you are interested in how I evolved this site and if you have some time to spend here, read my post on History of sudhar.com.

If you have any questions, comments or suggestions please email me.
